At UTM Mandalay, we are deeply committed to our ancestral heritage. Our curriculum seamlessly integrates the four fundamental systems of Myanmar Traditional Medicine -Desana, Bhesijja, Nakhatta, and Vijjadhara - supplemented by essential insights from any others Traditional Medicine and various global indigenous practices. We believe traditional medicine is a vital pillar of modern healthcare; thus, our faculties and students work tirelessly to validate its efficacy and safety through rigorous scientific research and clinical training.
Recent Highlights and Milestones:
Academic Excellence: We are proud to have celebrated our 18th Convocation in March 2026, a testament to our success in producing compassionate, highly skilled practitioners for the nation.
Research and Innovation: In August 2025, the university hosted the 14th Traditional Medicine Research Conference, further cementing our role in developing evidence-based traditional therapies.
